Location: Vellore Village Community Centre (Woodbridge)

Days:Tuesday and Thursday

Class Times: 4:30pm - 7:30pm

This course enables students to develop knowledge and skills related to movement competence and acquire an understanding of the factors that contribute to healthy development and learn how their own well-being is affected by, and affects, the world around them, to provide a foundation for active living. Students build their sense of self, learn critical life-saving techniques, and develop their ability to think critically and creatively. Students will be evaluated throughout the course with written assignments, quizzes, projects, and presentations. Final examinations include a written and technical portion as required by the Lifesaving Society and Ministry of Education. To receive the credit, students must meet Ministry of Education course expectations. Passing all Lifesaving Society portions of the course alone does not guarantee a course credit.
