This course focuses on enabling students to refine their use of the creative process, further understanding of the camera, and how to use Photoshop. This course, students will develop an awareness and understanding of the concepts and skills related to digital photography. This will be developed through student research, presentations and application involving various photographic challenges and studio assignments. Appreciation of historical and contemporary photographers will serve as inspiration for the different units. Students will be encouraged to explore, develop and create effective solutions for a variety of challenges including pinhole cameras, depth of field, action, abstraction, portraiture and studio photography.
