 Summer Learning Camp for Students on Alternative Academic Programs

 

York Catholic District School Board will be offering a summer program for students on alternative academic programs presently attending YCDSB in JK to grade 8. The program will be run by a certified teacher and students will be grouped by grade K-2, 3-5 and 6-8. 

The program will offer a safe, friendly and fun environment while focusing on following areas:

1. Building independence in daily living skills in a school environment

2. Basic literacy and numeracy skills development

3. Social skills development


The ideal candidate for this program is a student who is currently focusing on alternative literacy/numeracy skills, skills of daily living and social skills. The student must be returning to a YCDSB school in September, 2023 and must be able to attend the program with a shared model of support (one EA per 5 students). One to one support will not be provided.
